Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!” Psalm 105:1-2 (NKJV) As we look back on 2013 we are amazed at the work God has done. Many steps of faith were taken, many challenges were faced, and many blessings were granted. The only thing we can do is give thanks to God, for without Him none of this would have been possible. In 2013, we presented the ministry in 20 churches, traveled 5,645 miles and was visited 1,244 times. As we look ahead, we thank God for the 24 meetings scheduled for 2014. It was a joy to watch our children participate in two different Christmas programs this month. We were home three weekends, but illness affected two of those. … Read More

November 2013

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.” Isaiah 64:6 (NKJV) God continues to prepare us for the ministry he called us into. Our main sewer line backed up, changing our plans and desires. We labored in vain to get toilets to flush. Finally, we hired a professional who removed a handful of tree roots and the problem was fixed! We learned about plumbing and threw away quite a few filthy rags, which reminded us of how God views our sin. It isn’t pretty. Yet, God sent His Son to die and pay the penalty for our filthy rags. Praise the Lord for the opportunity to accept His wonderful gift to us! In early November we traveled to Grace … Read More

October Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?.” Jeremiah 32:27 (NKJV) In Truth Trackers on Wednesday nights, the children are studying the greatness of God. As we sent letters, made phone calls, scheduled meetings, visited churches and family this last month we stand amazed at the greatness of our God. The first weekend of the month we spent with First Baptist Church in Russell, IA. God allowed us to go on Saturday and attend a church harvest fellowship and hayrack ride. We enjoyed the extra time getting to know the pastor and congregation. The next week we drove to Virginia to visit Brian’s sister and brother-in-law. God not only provided safety for our family, He also protected Brian and our brother-in-law, Jason, as they traveled to and from Baltimore for treatments. While we were … Read More

September Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 Proverbs 16:9 is a verse we use when sharing our testimony. It is amazing how often we plan our schedules and God in His sovereignty changes them. We had carefully “planned” a family vacation and churches for deputation months in advance. But God, in His sovereignty, changed our plans. We are learning to be flexible and praise Him when plans change. Through many unexpected circumstances, we rearranged our week of vacation and will be able to spend more time with our family. This year Brenda did more than just attend the State Ladies Retreat at Iowa Regular Baptist Camp at Clear Lake, Iowa. The theme was “Getting to the Heart of Friendship,” hosted by Faith Baptist Church of Iowa City and Harvest Baptist Church in Williamsburg, IA. With faith … Read More

August Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! ”To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) In Ecclesiastes 3 we read that there is a season for all things. We praise God that He has blessed our deputation schedule and it became obvious that we needed to step down as youth leaders. God gave us a passion to serve with the youth and we have faithfully served close to 12 years. Yet we know that God is directing us to a new season. We praise God that he has replaced us with mature believers that have that same passion. On August 17, we helped our church with their annual International Give Away. Approximately two hundred international students came to the church, sat through a short gospel presentation, and then picked out one or more pieces of large furniture and some household items. … Read More

July Newsletter

The-Krueger-Family-July-2013-Newsletter “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-11 (NKJV) In VBS this year we learned about the armor of God. It was a much-needed lesson about the necessity of spending time in God’s Word o that you can resist the “wiles of the devil.” July 15-19, Amanda, Luke and Nathanael spent the week with about 120 other children in VBS. Nathanael made a different part of the armor each day in the Pre-primary class (see the picture with the complete suit of armor). Brenda helped in his class, which averaged about 40 students every day. On Tuesday and Wednesday that same week Brenda and I attended our first CBM Family conference. A friend from church watched all four kids while … Read More

June Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) Throughout this past month, we have been overwhelmed by the many answers to prayer. Sometimes our prayers were answered before we were even able to verbalize them. June 7-8 we began the process of downsizing by having our first garage sale. We set out our display board and had opportunities to share with some of the shoppers. One of the neatest was a discussion with our neighbors about our plans. We invited them to church, and we then asked them about a one on one Bible study. Keep praying for them and for more open doors. June was a busy ministry month. The first two weekends we presented in Union and Reinbeck, Iowa. June 17-23 … Read More

May Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “…in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.” Acts 17:11b (NKJV) We asked the children which verse to use for this newsletter and they chose Acts 17:11. It seemed appropriate as we have been studying and preparing to share the Word at other churches. We have officially hit the deputation trail. As of right now, our family has presented in 5 churches and our schedule is full until November. Brian has been able to teach Sunday school, preach, share CBM and our calling. Brenda has taught children’s Sunday school, ministered through piano, and shared her testimony. Amanda and Luke have enjoyed singing special music and playing piano for offertories. Nathanael and Rebekah have enjoyed visiting new places and meeting new people. It has been a privilege to meet new … Read More

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and The sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, The author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) In April as we helped the children design and build their cars for the Truth Tracker Grand Prix, we were reminded of the race of faith we run as believers in Christ. Amanda, Luke, and Nathanael all designed and helped with cars. Brian was also able to help our 4-year-old neighbor design and build a car this year. On the day of the … Read More

March Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) In February, as Brian started to call churches, he found it to be a struggle. It was not easy and he made some mistakes. We are so thankful that when one takes steps of faith God is there directing your path. We met with our pastor to discuss how things were developing, and he shared with us his preferences on how to be contacted by missionaries. Brian took his advice and started contacting churches again. There are so many things to praise God for: Our local church and each one who has come alongside us and is praying for us. Thank you. God is answering your prayers. Brian’s job, because they have been … Read More
