Seeing God Work!

For mobile missionaries, change is constant. CBM missionary builders put down stakes for several months at a time then move on—leaving behind new buildings and new friends. Missionary wives are critical in keeping the family cared for and prepared for these transitions. Brenda Krueger is one of CBM’s missionaries. With her husband, Brian, and their four children, they are anticipating the completion of the building project at Baptist Bible Church in Sparta, Michigan and preparing for what God has next.

God is at work in the nuts and bolts! He provided the full amount needed for the Kruegers to purchase a tool trailer. They are presently waiting for necessary repairs on their fifth wheel while God prepares their hearts for this new phase of ministry; Brenda is ready for new adventures.

In the meantime, Brenda stays busy homeschooling their children: Luke, Nathanael, and Rebekah. She also teaches science for their middle school co-op and, in the spring, an online chemistry class for Maranatha Baptist University. She plays the piano on Sundays, helps in the nursery, and attends a ladies’ prayer time. Whew!

She is a busy lady but never too busy to appreciate God’s blessing on her family. The Lord provided a car for son, Luke, who is a senior in high school. Despite limited funds, the Lord cleared the way for daughter, Amanda (their oldest), to attend online classes, better preparing her to face the challenges of her Christian worldview at nursing school.

Brenda sees God working when the path ahead is unclear. She says, “If everything in life were easy, we wouldn’t need and be dependent on God. God has been teaching me that, through dependence on Him, we can be at peace in the unknowns.” She adds, “I am most blessed by the prayers and encouragement of our friends and supporters. It is humbling for me to know that people are sacrificing and praying for us so we can do the ministry work we do!”

Here are a few ways you can pray for the Kruegers—

  • Pray for the transition to Eureka, Montana later this summer. It will be challenging to leave two children at home and only take two with them. It will also be Brenda’s first full-time building project in their RV fifth wheel.
  • Pray for the Kruegers’ support—they are currently at 84% of their monthly need.
  • Pray for the building team to finish strong at Baptist Bible Church. It will be difficult to leave this church family that they have grown to love!
