June Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) Throughout this past month, we have been overwhelmed by the many answers to prayer. Sometimes our prayers were answered before we were even able to verbalize them. June 7-8 we began the process of downsizing by having our first garage sale. We set out our display board and had opportunities to share with some of the shoppers. One of the neatest was a discussion with our neighbors about our plans. We invited them to church, and we then asked them about a one on one Bible study. Keep praying for them and for more open doors. June was a busy ministry month. The first two weekends we presented in Union and Reinbeck, Iowa. June 17-23 … Read More

May Newsletter

It seemed appropriate as we have been studying and preparing to share the Word at other churches. We have officially hit the deputation trail. As of right now, our family has presented in 5 churches and our schedule is full until November. Brian has been able to teach Sunday school, preach, share CBM and our calling. Brenda has taught children’s Sunday school, ministered through piano, and shared her testimony. Amanda and Luke have enjoyed singing special music and playing piano for offertories. Nathanael and Rebekah have enjoyed visiting new places and meeting new people. It has been a privilege to meet new … Read More

2013 Truth Tracker Grand Prix

In the Krueger house, we generally design the cars for speed. And this year was no different. Time was not on our side, so we did the basics. We didn’t bake the wood to remove 10% water weight. We didn’t polish the axels or sand the wheels. But we did put optimize the weight by putting 3 ounces of weight in the back of the car. All the cars were set to run on 3 wheels, then we spun the wheels while adding graphite. There are so many little tips and tricks to optimize the car for speed. I also had the opportunity to help with 4 other cars. The biggest highlight was helping our 4-year-old neighbor build his first car. Our neighbor took 2nd in his division. Nathanael was in that division and didn’t place. Luke lost to his sister again and ended up taking 3rd place. And Amanda took … Read More

Amanda, Luke, and Nathanael all designed and helped with cars. Brian was also able to help our 4-year-old neighbor design and build a car this year. On the day of the … Read More

Building a LEGO church

As we thought about our display board and how to get our kids interested, I came up with the idea of building a church out of Legos.  Lego has never created a set to build a church, so we started searching the internet and found someone on eBay selling the plans to build a Lego church. The plans called for 1,889 Lego blocks.  I soon realized that buying the blocks from Lego was going to get expensive at .20 each, and some of the pieces were no longer being sold.  That is when I found www.bricklink.com.  I placed 12 different orders with 12 different people.  Some of the pieces were new and some of the pieces were used. We learned to never buy used white pieces, they discolor as they age. The kids where excited as the packages arrived and couldn’t wait to get started.  Brenda realized pretty quickly that the building process went … Read More

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) In February, as Brian started to call churches, he found it to be a struggle. It was not easy and he made some mistakes. We are so thankful that when one takes steps of faith God is there directing your path. We met with our pastor to discuss how things were developing, and he shared with us his preferences on how to be contacted by missionaries. Brian took his advice and started contacting churches again. There are so many things to praise God for: Our local church and each one who has come alongside us and is praying for us. Thank you. God is answering your prayers. Brian’s job, because they have been … Read More

The Journey Begins…

The journey of building churches has begun.  This reality is still setting in.  We are excited and nervous at the same time.  It reminds me of the day I proposed to Brenda.  Life as I knew it was about to change and that is true today as we look to serve God in full-time ministry.  Brenda and I are now official Church Builder Appointees with Continental Baptist Missions.  It has been a blessing trusting God in each step of the way.  Each step brings its own unique set of challenges and requires us to lean on God even more. Here is what you can do to help us on our journey: Pray for us – sign up for our prayer letter. Financially support us – $5 a month or more. Encourage us – spend a day or more swinging a hammer with us. Recommend churches – help us find churches … Read More

February Newsletter

For us, it has been a month of “little by little’s”. We continue to remind ourselves that it is God’s plan and timing and not our own. February 8-9 was the statewide Mid-Winter Couples Retreat. We enjoyed spending time together as a couple as well as meeting some new people. We were also able to fellowship with other CBM missionaries on deputation. It was an enjoyable evening of sharing each other’s “little by little’s”. Our youth group is preparing for Talents For Christ. Brenda accompanies the youth choir. TFC is designed to challenge and encourage young people to use their talents … Read More

2012 Christmas Letter

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given;  And the government will be upon His shoulder.  And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV) As Brenda and I have reflected on the year 2012, we have realized that we are truly blessed.   God has put many influential people in our lives and we thank Him for that.  Many of you have been an encouragement to us in the past year and we thank you for that. I still work for GoDaddy.com.  I have been at Go Daddy for 5 years and 10 months.  This has been the longest I have worked at a specific company.  The company discontinued the project I was working on and I was transitioned to the Business Intelligence team.  My biggest highlight at work this year was helping my team redesign … Read More

And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called the name of that place, “The LORD will provide”, as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the LORD it shall be provided.” Genesis 22:13-14 (ESV) And so it begins! We are officially CBM missionary builder appointees. It is exciting as we witness Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Early in the month, while attending a graduation party we were invited to come the next evening to Harvest Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Iowa, and share what God has been doing in our lives. Later in the month, we shared our ministry with our local church. We … Read More
