“A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

Proverbs 16:9 is a verse we use when sharing our testimony. It is amazing how often we plan our schedules and God in His sovereignty changes them. We had carefully “planned” a family vacation and churches for deputation months in advance. But God, in His sovereignty, changed our plans. We are learning to be flexible and praise Him when plans change. Through many unexpected circumstances, we rearranged our week of vacation and will be able to spend more time with our family.

This year Brenda did more than just attend the State Ladies Retreat at Iowa Regular Baptist Camp at Clear Lake, Iowa. The theme was “Getting to the Heart of Friendship,” hosted by Faith Baptist Church of Iowa City and Harvest Baptist Church in Williamsburg, IA. With faith in God’s provision, Brenda accepted the position to lead the music committee. She also helped with food preparation before the retreat. It was a blessing to worship God with over 500 women from the state of Iowa. The ladies were challenged to be God-honoring rather than self-centered friends.

September 8th we attended the dedication service for New Testament Baptist Church in Columbus, WI. It was amazing to see not only the finished building but even more, to witness the impact CBM church builders had in the lives of the church and the community. We count it a privilege to have been a part of this project.

We also visited and shared the ministry at First Baptist Church in Bloomfield, IA and Faith Baptist Church in Knoxville, IA. We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends while on deputation.

Fulfilling the great commission together,

Brian, Brenda, Amanda, Luke, Nathanael and Rebekah Krueger
