“And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands. ” Psalm 90:17 (NKJV)

As we serve God, our prayer is that He would truly “establish the ministry of our hands.”

This month we joined a workday at Camp Manatoumi in Illinois. Brenda, Nathanael, and Rebekah planted hundreds of flowers, Luke helped another man install a water heater and Brian put up fascia on the ladies bath house. Amanda did not join us because she went to the Adventureland youth rally with the youth group.
We decided that the month of May would be our only opportunity to make a trip out to the build site in Ft. Ashby, WV, so we went. God was so good to us. Our mechanic informed us that our tires were in bad shape and they were able to install new ones the day we left. The Genungs were off-site that week and allowed us to stay in their trailer. It was a huge blessing to be on site with the
builders and learn more about trailer life! Brian
worked with the builders a few hours each day and
assisted in mudding the walls of the education wing,
painting the outside doors and other jobs. Amanda
went to a local nursing home and helped one of the
builder wives there.

We celebrated Brenda’s 40th
birthday by sharing an ice cream cake with all of the
builders and their families during break time. It was great to fellowship with the builder families that week and it revitalized our passion to be on the field full time.
Brian’s sister lives near the build site, so we spent time with her while we were in the area.

Two days before Memorial Day, we spent the day at Gettysburg, VA. What an amazing place! We spent several hours enjoying the audio tour and taking in the monuments. The men who fought in the
Civil War fought for what they believed in, even to the extent of fighting against friends and family. We are grateful for our financial supporters and prayer warriors. Pray with us that God would truly “establish the ministry of our hands.”

Fulfilling the great commission together,

Brian, Brenda, Amanda, Luke, Nathanael, and Rebekah
