“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. ” I Corinthians 9:24-25 (NKJV)
The last Saturday in May Brenda finished her first half marathon. Both the intensive training as well as the race itself were good reminders of how we are to run our spiritual lives. We train, strive and race for the crown that will never fade away.
Amanda went to Junior Girls Camp again this year. She successfully made it to the top of Climbing Wall #2 of the indoor walls. She also had many other great adventures she would love to share. While attending the wedding of one of Brian’s college friends in Wisconsin, we visited Calvary Baptist Church in Sauk City where Brian and I first felt the calling to be missionary builders. It was a relaxing weekend hanging out with friends.
In addition to summer activities, all 4 kids were diagnosed with strep throat and we were reminded of the frailty of our bodies. Although we do not like being sick, God allows it and He knows what He is doing. Please continue to pray for health and traveling mercies. We really prefer presenting our ministry as a family. Praise the Lord! We finished our school year. Amanda was done first and a couple of weeks later the boys finished. It has been nice to be on a slower summer schedule.
We had the privilege of sharing our ministry at Murray Baptist Church in Murray, IA. While there the kids enjoyed the zip line at our hosts’ home. We also presented at our first Missions Conference at Berean Baptist Church in Davenport, IA. We enjoyed sharing as well as learning about some other missionaries. We are thankful for the churches we’ve visited and the new friends we’ve made. Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement. We are praising God for a new individual supporter in the month of June. Please continue to pray with us that our support would come in His timing.
Fulfilling the great commission together,
Brian, Brenda, Amanda, Luke, Nathanael and Rebekah Krueger
