”Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV)

We had the privilege of laboring alongside other CBM missionary builders at Calvary Baptist Church in Chatsworth, IL where the CBM Missionary Church Planters, Ed and Cheryl Bunt, are serving. The church had finances for the project but needed laborers. Brian and another builder set up a harness safety system that allowed Amanda and Luke to help, too. As they crawled up on the roof for the first time, they quickly realized that it looked a lot less scary from the ground. It wasn’t long before they were no longer nervous and were very productive. As we worked, people walked by, drove by and took an interest in what was going on. We were on the roof for only a couple of hours and an unexpected man with the right tools showed up to help for a couple hours. The neighbor across the street observed the work and spent a couple afternoons laboring with us. Another man was walking by and stopped to help us on the ground. There were also many people from the neighborhood who brought tasty food. Our kids had great opportunities to invite the neighborhood kids to church while playing on the trampoline next door. It was not easy work, but it was a great reminder of our calling to the building ministry. We left encouraged and cannot wait until we are on the field full time!

Brenda was able to attend the Renew Conference at Iowa Regular Baptist Camp (IRBC) in Clear Lake, IA where she enjoyed time in God’s Word and saw many ladies she’s has met across the state of Iowa. Brian also spent time at IRBC helping reshingle the old dorm. It was a blessing to be recognized by people from churches where we have shared our ministry. Once again, there were many hands which made it an enjoyable job. As always we are thankful for the prayers of so many of you as we travel and minister!

Fulfilling the great commission together,

Brian, Brenda, Amanda, Luke, Nathanael and Rebekah Krueger
