“Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.” Prov. 24:3-4 (NKJV)

In May of 2003 , Brenda and I moved into our current home. We chose this house because it was located near our church and we never wanted distance to be a reason to not attend a church service or be part of a ministry. As we reflect on how God has used our house, we are grateful and amazed. Inside our home, we had Sunday school in the basement, a missionary lived with us for over 6 months, the youth group came over multiple times and other ministry opportunities just seemed to happen. In that time God also expanded our family from 2 to 6 and it has been a great home to raise a family. Outside our home, we have built special relationships with our neighbors. It has been a precious gift to us and we will always treasure the many great memories. As we look to the future, it is becoming clear that it is time to move on. There are a lot of emotions running through our family right now. We are excited, nervous, and sorrowful all at the same time. Please pray for us as we take new steps in following God’s will for our lives. Our current plans are to ell our home at the end of the 2017-2018 school year and move to Rockford, MI near the home office of CBM.

I, (Brian), would then cut back to 32 hours a week with my current job and spend Mon- days at the home office learning how to use their CAD program (Computer Aided Design) to create church building blue prints.

February was a challenging month. At least one of us was sick three Sundays in a row. It was also a fun month. Luke and Nathanael spent a weekend with friends from church at Iowa Regular Baptist Camp in Clear Lake, Iowa at the Jr. Freeze Out. We (Brian and Brenda) attended the Mid-winter Couples Re-treat in Johnston, IA, taking time away to enjoy one another, spend time under the teaching of God’s Word and see friends from across the state. Brenda and three other ladies from our church attended an intense week of biblical counseling training in Lafayette, IN. Brenda enjoyed the sweet fellowship of learning with her riends.

Fulfilling the great commission together,

Brian, Brenda, Amanda, Luke, Nathanael and Rebekah
