“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21 (ESV)

When we started deputation we owned two high mileage vans. Our plans were to maintain them until we finished deputation, but that’s not what God had in mind. We had just purchased new winter tires when our circumstances changed. In February, Brenda and the kids were involved in a car accident. No one was injured, praise the Lord!! They were stopped but the car behind them couldn’t. The van was rear-ended and pushed into the car ahead of them. In the end, the van was totaled and we are down to one van, but that kept us from having to make a quick decision. We are praying for wisdom in the purchase of another van. Would you please join us?

The Continental Baptist Mission’s office asked if we would make a short video about our ministry. We said yes, but had no idea what we were getting into. First, we headed to the church to film, but it didn’t go so well. We came home, practiced, and worked on each line we wanted to say. After memorizing them all we started filming again. One of the biggest challenges was getting the “giggles” under control. When we thought we had a good take we watched it only to realize the cuckoo clock went off in the middle, so we tried again. Finally, after many takes, we e-mailed our efforts to the home office and they put it all together. This month we enjoyed spending time as a couple at the Mid-Winter Couples Retreat in Johnston, IA. We also re-visited a church and presented our ministry at Hillside Bible Fellowship in Council Bluffs, IA. We are praising the Lord for a new supporting church and an increase in support from an individual.

Fulfilling the great commission together,
