“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV)

Throughout the month of November, God reminded us to give thanks in all circumstances, including both the fun times and the challenging times.

Brian enjoys bow hunting this time of year. While he was hunting he shot at a nine-point buck, broadside, that was within 15 yards. The buck ran about 40 yards and stood. After a while, the deer moved into the woods and Brian lost sight of it. A few hours later the whole family went out and started following the trail. After six and a half hours of looking, we did not find the deer. When your arrow is just off a couple inches, give thanks in all circumstances.

We traveled to the Continental Baptist Missions Family Conference in Grimes, IA and had a wonderful time fellowshipping with both new and old friends. We also traveled to Berean Baptist Church in Pella, IA and enjoyed sharing our ministry with the congregation there. During both trips, we drove through torrential rainfalls and high winds. When you are driving in dangerous circumstances and God gives protection as well as a beautiful rainbow, give thanks in all circumstances.

We had a simple time-lapse video created, but we wanted to improve it. We started timing songs that the kids sang and realized we would have a hard time getting a song to exactly two minutes. The song we chose was 3 minutes, so we added more pictures after the time lapse. Such a simple task took a lot of time. When things take longer than you think they should, give thanks in all circumstances.(You can view the video at our website www.thekruegfam.com)

We have enjoyed revisiting churches this month. It is encouraging to see churches growing and serving, as well as hearing people have been praying for us! When churches are steadfast and people are praying, give thanks in all circumstances.

Early in the month, we celebrated Rebekah’s birthday. She requested a strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting. Later in the month, we celebrated Thanksgiving with Brian’s parents. When you have opportunities to celebrate, give thanks in all circumstances.

When you have a newsletter done and you have wonderful family and friends supporting and encouraging you, give thanks in all circumstances! Merry Christmas!

Fulfilling the great commission together,

Brian, Brenda, Amanda, Luke, Nathanael and Rebekah Krueger
