“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Psalm 34:8 (NKJV)
God reveals Himself and His attributes to us in incredible ways. When we take the time to stop in the midst of the craziness we can truly “taste and see” God. We have been trying to slow down and find God even in the little things.
This month we want to look back at the 31 new churches we visited and the 12,850 miles we traveled last year, to see how God gave us glimpses of Him and His work. Rebekah left her blanket at a Pastor’s house, but that particular pastor was a Fed-Ex driver. Once God delayed a snow storm so we could present in every service and then He provided housing for us to spend the night. Another time God allowed us to be an encouragement to a Pastor who was recently widowed. In our travels the older children got to drive a golf cart, a zero-turn radius lawn mower, and zip down a zip line. The van was in a hailstorm and only sustained one known dent. As a family we have roasted marshmallows, visited parks, gone to a county fair and been swimming at a camp in Illinois. Twice God provided free, yummy, day old bread. We were guided through covered bridges and to the coast of Lake Superior. There were many timeswe encouraged the body and many times the body encouraged us. All in all it has been an awesome year of watching and participating in God’s work!
Brian had the opportunity to share the building ministry with our sending church’s Wednesday night children’s program. He talked about different hand tools that he will need to use on the build site. He then stressed that the most important tool he and the students will ever use is the Bible. We shared our ministry burden with the Maranatha Baptist Church in Grimes, Iowa this month as well. We cannot emphasize enough how much your support means to us. Pray with us that we will continue to see Him work!
Fulfilling the great commission together,
