“And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called the name of that place, “The LORD will provide”, as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the LORD it shall be provided.” Genesis 22:13-14 (ESV)

And so it begins! We are officially CBM missionary builder appointees. It is exciting as we witness Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Early in the month, while attending a graduation party we were invited to come the next evening to Harvest Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Iowa, and share what God has been doing in our lives.

Later in the month, we shared our ministry with our local church. We are very proud to announce that Faith Baptist Church in Iowa City is our very first supporting church. This was an emotional time of sharing how God has provided through them. What a wonderful opportunity it was to show our gratitude for their support.

The following weekend everything fell into place for a quick trip to the current CBM build site in Columbus, Wisconsin. Members of our family volunteered to watch our children, so we could have one on one time working with the builders. We left Columbus on Sunday morning not sure where we would spend Sunday night. A winter storm predicting significant ice was heading our way. We made it to Calvary Baptist Church in Sauk City, Wisconsin for their morning service. This was the church that we helped in 2011 and the place where we really felt God’s calling into this ministry. It was a blessing to reconnect with friends there. A family from the church invited us to wait out the storm at their house as again God provided exactly what we needed.

Gratefully serving Jehovah Jireh,

Brian, Brenda, Amanda, Luke, Nathanael and Rebekah Krueger
