August Newsletter

The-Krueger-Family-August-2015-Newsletter ”He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the Lord has spoken.” Isaiah 25:8 (NKJV) On August 7th, Brian’s brother-in-law Jason passed away after a long battle with lung cancer. When we told Re- bekah she said, “Mom, it is happy and sad.” Then she said, “It is happy because he is in Heaven, but it is sad that he died.” We were happy that he was no longer suffering, but we were sad that he was no longer with us. We eagerly anticipate the day when God will swallow up death forever and wipe away all of our tears. The first week of August we spent vacationing in the Boundary Waters with some friends from our church. The weather was great and the fishing was … Read More

July Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! ”… and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:19-20 (NKJV) The missionary who visited our sending church for Vacation Bible School (VBS) this month presented a message on how to pray for missionaries biblically. Using the passage above, you can pray for us in three specific ways. One, please pray for opportunities to share and defend the gospel. Two, pray for boldness. Paul asked for this twice! Three, pray for clarity. We’re specifically asking for wisdom to clearly explain the gospel. We would ask that you remember these three things as you pray for us to be effective missionaries. In July, about 150 children … Read More

June Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Blessed be the LORD, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!” Psalm 28:3 (NKJV) In early June we were preparing to leave for a church visit when we found out Brian’s mom needed a heart scope the following Monday. We wanted to be there for the procedure but didn’t know how to get Luke to Jr. Boys’ camp. We left the house with everything we might need, including Luke’s camp supplies, and prayed that somehow God would provide a way. “Blessed be the LORD,” we got an answer. The family we had lunch with on Sunday was taking their grandson to camp Monday morning and graciously offered to take Luke too! It seems like we hardly blinked and June was done. We enjoyed a great week of fishing for catfish on the Red River. Amanda and Luke each spent a week … Read More

May Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.” Psalm 126:3 (NKJV) We crossed a significant milestone and are praising God that we now have one-quarter of the support we need! God is truly “doing great things for us and we are glad.” Our sending church increased our support which put us over the 25% mark. We are praising God for the work He is doing in and through our lives. It is truly an awesome thing to watch Him work. The month of May was filled with much fun and a scary “first” at the Krueger house. Nathanael tripped, fell and hit his ear on the corner entryway to our kitchen. A trip to the ER resulted in 14 stitches on his right ear. He did great as the doctor sewed him up and his ear is healing well. … Read More

April Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.” Deuteronomy 10:21 In Deuteronomy, Moses was reminding the Israelites of the “great and awesome things” that God had done for them. Earlier in the year, we had looked at the month of April with some discouragement because we did not have much scheduled. However, God does “great and awesome things,” and our month was filled. Not necessarily how we had thought it would be filled but filled according to God’s plan. This month Brian was able to attend both the Illinois-Missouri (IL-MO) Regular Baptist Conference and the Iowa Regular Baptist Conference. At both of these conferences, Brian was able to make some good contacts and meet some new people. While at the IL-MO conference Brian was invited to come … Read More

March Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.” Isaiah 64:8 In March, our kids and one of the neighbor boys built race cars for the Truth Tracker Grand Prix. We helped them design, cut, drill, sand and paint their blocks of wood in preparation for race day. That day they got to see their hard work put to the test. The message presented on race day reminded us of how God invests in our lives, cutting, drilling, sanding, and molding us to be more like Him so that when we are put to the test, we will be found faithful. Please continue to pray with us for our neighbor’s salvation. We scheduled churches on two weekends: one an outdoor sports show and the other a tool … Read More

February Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Teach me to do your will, For you are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.” Psalm 143:10 The month of February brought us many teachable moments. February 8 & 9, we attended the state couples’ retreat in Johnston, IA. We enjoyed fellowship with friends and family as well as refreshing time together studying God’s Word on marriage. Brenda attended the Biblical Counselling Conference in Lafayette, IN where she attended sessions that focused on women’s issues and counseling women. She is looking forward to future ministries with the women she encounters and is praying that God will use the training in her life as well. The week also provided many opportunities for fellowship with other women. While Brenda was at the conference our kids enjoyed a week at their grandparent’s house. Brian has finished installing a set … Read More

January Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Psalm 34:8 (NKJV) God reveals Himself and His attributes to us in incredible ways. When we take the time to stop in the midst of the craziness we can truly “taste and see” God. We have been trying to slow down and find God even in the little things. This month we want to look back at the 31 new churches we visited and the 12,850 miles we traveled last year, to see how God gave us glimpses of Him and His work. Rebekah left her blanket at a Pastor’s house, but that particular pastor was a Fed-Ex driver. Once God delayed a snow storm so we could present in every service and then He provided housing for us to spend the night. Another time God … Read More

December Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.” Psalm 139:1-6 (NKJV) It is amazing to try and comprehend the breadth of the knowledge of God, as well as His sovereignty and plan for our lives. Many times we think we know what is best, what we need, and what we should be doing. But God knows us better than we do. The month of December was an amazing … Read More

November Newsletter

Download a PDF Version of the Newsletter! “Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.” 1 Chronicles 28:10 (NKJV) The highlight of the month of November was spending a week on the Continental Baptist Missions build site in Florida as a family. During the week we had the privilege of spending individual time with each family on site. Some of them are full-time missionaries and some are Nehemiah builders, but they have been chosen by God to build and have stories of how God has worked in and through them. Even though there have been times of trials they have remained strong and are doing the work God has called them to. We have found that pre-field ministry is not easy, but their stories and words encouraged us to keep serving during the time God has placed us … Read More
